When I first set foot on American soil, I was determined yet faced with many uncertainties. Moving to the U.S. was both a challenge and an opportunity-to build a new life while preserving my identity and helping fellow Ukrainians feel the warmth of their native culture. Today, I am happy that I have partially fulfilled my dreams by opening my own dance studio, launching an event agency, continuing my charitable work, and starting new projects that I will share soon…
However, this journey was not easy, and it was faith and optimism that became my greatest allies. I am infinitely grateful to every person I have met along the way – those who supported me, contributed to my life, and helped my projects flourish.
Starting a New Life in the U.S. I moved to America, leaving behind my beloved Ukraine when the war changed millions of lives. It felt like I was starting from scratch, unsure of what lay ahead. However, I did not let fear or uncertainty stop me. My relocation was challenging not only because of the new country, language, and culture but also because I am raising my children alone. This added an extra layer of difficulty, as I had to adapt while also helping my children find their place in this new world, feel safe, and believe in a bright future.
Despite all the hardships, I can now say that this was not just a bold change – it was the most exciting and special adventure of my life. It opened new opportunities, introduced me to incredible people, and helped me find my purpose in a world where I can bring my ideas to life.
From Dream to Reality: Creating a Dance Studio and Event Agency
My passion for dance has accompanied me throughout my life. Since childhood, as far back as I can remember, I have danced. In Ukraine, I worked with children in schools, organized creative events, and helped others discover their talents. So when deciding what to do in the U.S., the first thought that came to mind was to open my own dance studio.
I started teaching dance to children and adults, helping them not only master movements but also find inspiration and self-confidence. Over time, I realized that my love for event organization could grow into something more. That’s how the idea of an event agency was born, specializing in organizing celebrations of all kinds. My team and I organize:
- Birthday parties (for both children and adults)
- Weddings (from traditional to modern concepts)
- Corporate events (team-building activities, formal dinners, gala evenings)
- Ukrainian cultural nights (with music, dance, and folklore traditions)
- Charity concerts and festivals
My clients know that when they come to me, they receive not just a service but a true festive atmosphere filled with emotions, joy, and a special Ukrainian warmth.
Charity: Helping Children and Supporting Ukraine Even in Ukraine
I was involved in charity, supporting orphans and families in difficult life situations. And even after moving, I have not stopped – I continue leading a charitable foundation that helps such families and raises funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Every event I organize has not only a cultural or entertainment mission but also a charitable one. A portion of the proceeds from our cultural nights, concerts, and other events goes toward supporting children and helping Ukrainian soldiers.
I sincerely believe that art and charity can change lives, and my mission is to unite people by creating events that not only bring joy but also make the world a better place.
Ukrainian Culture at the Heart of America
Understanding the importance of preserving our native culture, I began organizing Ukrainian cultural nights, concerts, and charity events. I knew that many Ukrainians who came to the U.S. because of the war longed for home, traditions, and the things that make us Ukrainian.
That is why I decided to create a space where everyone can feel at home-immerse themselves in the atmosphere of our native culture, communicate with like-minded people, sing Ukrainian songs, and dance traditional dances.
Every event we hold is filled not only with music and dance but also with deep meaning. We help Ukrainians feel the strength of their nation, pass down traditions to children growing up in a new country, and remind Americans of the richness of our culture.
Faith That Leads Forward
Through this journey, I have learned one thing nothing is impossible if you truly believe in your mission. Faith and optimism have been my driving forces. There were moments when the obstacles seemed too great, when I lacked resources or support. But each time, I found the strength to move forward.
And the greatest reward for this is the happy faces of children in my studio, the grateful feedback after organized events, and the words of appreciation from those who found new friends and a sense of belonging through our gatherings. Life in the U.S. has taught me the most important lesson: opportunities always exist—you just need the courage to seize them.
What’s Next?
I am not stopping here. I have many plans to expand the studio, create new programs, organize even more cultural events, broaden the range of services offered by my event agency, and help even more children and families.
My life is full of bright moments, challenges, and victories, but most importantly, it is full of meaning.
